GATE

Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is basically an examination on the comprehensive understanding of the candidates in various undergraduate subjects in Engineering/Technology/ Architecture and post-graduate level subjects in Science. GATE is currently, conducted for 25 subjects (also referred to as `Papers`) in various streams including CHEMISTRY. GATE in CHEMISTRY as a subject, is a gateway to various Central Government and PSU Jobs like Scientific Officer (S & T) in Central Secretariat, Scientist `B` in DRDO, Assistant Executive Engineer in ONGC. Also, for higher studies one can apply for M.Tech and Phd in IITs with a scholarship provided by the former institute.
